Sasuke joining the Akatsuki feels like a huge mistake but he looks so cool with that cloak and I can't believe he really wants to destroy the whole leaf village after everything Itachi did to save it

Episode Context

Coming directly after the devastating Itachi truth revelations, episode 142 marks a hard tonal pivot. Sasuke channels everything he's learned into forward aggression as Taka takes on a dangerous new mission. This episode bridges the introspective aftermath of the Itachi arc with the explosive combat that follows in 'The Eight-Tails vs. Sasuke,' making it essential connective tissue. It establishes the new threat dynamics and evolving alliances that will define this next stretch of canon episodes.
