The way we saw might guys power unfold was amazing.

To be shown how much power he truly has with only 6 gates was amazing to see the rivalry between the skill of Kakashi vs Guy

Guy opening gates is a hype scene, showcasing his power despite being only a Taijutsu user. He is a unique character, a minority of their power system.

The encyclopedia segment with Neji and Tenten at the end was a cute touch after such a stressful battle on the lake

The way the water just evaporated when Guy hit the sixth gate was incredible, and seeing him finally remember who Kisame was during the chaos made me laugh during a serious fight

My skin crawled when that sword handle grew spikes and shredded Guys hand because Kisame is a total monster for having a weapon that eats people

Seeing that flashback of Jiraiya teaching Naruto how to stop his chakra flow was the best way to explain how he survived the crow illusion

Kisame is doing all of this with only thirty percent of his power and he almost drowned team guy while laughing about it

The recap took way too long but seeing Guy pull out the morning peacock was worth the wait because the animation went crazy there

The title said Narutos Growth but Guy definitely stole the show today for me because opening the sixth gate underwater was the coolest thing I have seen in a long time and I was really worried about Tenten and the others, and that Morning Peacock move is just on another level plus Naruto getting stuck in a genjutsu by a finger was actually terrifying

Itachi is literally cheating by putting people under genjutsu just by pointing a finger and it makes the stakes for Naruto so much higher now

I was happy to see Naruto actually use the brain cells Jiraiya gave him instead of just screaming and charging in with a rasengan like he always does

Guy using nunchaku is such a deep cut and then he just decides to turn the lake into a boiling pot with the sixth gate to save the kids

The back and forth between the two fights feels a bit slow. Naruto is just standing there in a dream world while Guy is literally boiling a lake

Itachi does not even need his mangekyo sharingan to put Naruto through a mental nightmare. That says everything about the gap they still have to close

I honestly thought Tenten was a goner for a second there, when her air was running out in that water prison. Guy sensei pulling out the nunchaku was a fun surprise, but that morning peacock finisher was the real highlight of the day. It really shows how far he will go to keep his students alive when things get desperate and dangerous

Kisame having a sword that can literally eat chakra and grow spikes to protect itself from Guy makes the Akatsuki feel dangerous. They are on another level

The episode title is a bit of a stretch, but seeing Naruto finally use his head to disrupt his chakra instead of just screaming was a decent step forward

That morning peacock move is absolutely insane. Seeing the entire lake turn into steam from the friction of the punches was a massive scale for Guy

I really liked seeing the training flashback with Jiraiya because it shows how much he actually prepared Naruto. He knew exactly what threats they were facing

Itachi catching Naruto in a full genjutsu just by pointing a finger at him is actually terrifying. The crow transformation scene looked incredible

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off 'A Meeting With Destiny,' which established the initial confrontation with formidable adversaries, episode 14 escalates the stakes by throwing the protagonists into the thick of battle and forcing them to adapt under pressure. This is still very early in Shippuden's 500-episode run, firmly within the opening arcs that reintroduce the cast as hardened shinobi and set the tone for the series' elevated combat. It feeds directly into 'The Secret Weapon is Called...,' continuing the momentum of these unfolding battles and the strategic chess match between both sides.
