you can tell the budget went up for this one because the animation during those quick sharingan exchanges looked so clean and sharp

it felt like a bit of a flashback overload, but the actual confrontation in the hideout felt meaningful when sasuke entered the hideout

my head was spinning when itachi started talking about a third uchiha survivor because that changes everything i thought i knew about that night

that line from itachi about everyone living in their own fantasies really stuck with me and it makes you wonder if anything we just saw between them was even real

sasuke finally walking into that room and seeing itachi sitting on the throne was so tense and then they just dive straight into the genjutsu mind games and itachi has these crazy lines about reality being an illusion while sasuke just lets out all that built up hatred but man those flashbacks really slowed everything down and it felt like we were just retreading old ground

Itachi's face during those massacre flashbacks was genuinely haunting; I never realized how much internal conflict he must've been battling. It makes me rethink everything I thought I knew about his dedication to Sasuke and wonder if he truly believed there was another way.

Trying to anticipate every shadow in that opening sequence had me on edge, totally. I was legit trying to see where the genjutsu was hiding, just like I bet Shikamaru was, which made the whole tactical battle way more thrilling than a straightforward jutsu clash ever could be.

Itachi talking so somberly about Shisui and his own eyes genuinely caught me off guard; I always pictured him as just this unfeeling mastermind. But suddenly, I was questioning if he's actually carrying a similar burden of suffering to Sasuke, which definitely gave me some mixed feelings about the whole Uchiha tragedy.

Sasuke's facing Itachi's chilling words, and I'm really torn because even with all the brutality, it feels like his brother is still trying to sculpt him somehow, not just destroy him. I can't help but wonder if Sasuke will ever see past the hatred to what Itachi's actually trying to do, or if this whole twisted lesson is just going to consume him entirely.

I was genuinely taken aback when Sasuke just effortlessly broke out of that genjutsu; it totally underscored how much he's picked up from Orochimaru. For the first time, I'm actually starting to believe he can stand toe-to-toe with Itachi, and that makes me incredibly nervous and excited for what's coming next.

The Uchiha clan's history always seemed so clear to me, but Shisui's story reveals a messed-up, political underbelly I never saw coming. His talk about people living in their own fantasies really unsettled me, making me wonder if Sasuke is already trapped in a similar cycle of manipulation, and now I'm just dreading what's ahead for him in this fight.

I honestly wasn't sure how they'd follow up Jiraiya's fight, but seeing Sasuke finally walk in to face Itachi had me on the absolute edge of my seat, wondering if all this time and hatred was about to boil over into something irreversible. My heart was pounding, watching Itachi's calm demeanor versus Sasuke's burning rage; it just felt like such a huge moment for their messed-up family history.

The absolute anguish in Itachi’s face during the Uchiha massacre, even knowing the story, still gets to me – I just can’t imagine the unbearable burden of making that choice. It makes me question if he ever found a moment's peace after that, and my mind races with what else he might have had to give up that we haven't seen.

When Itachi started talking about reality being an illusion based on belief, it honestly made me wonder about all his past actions, like if his 'evil' was just another layer of that belief system. I'd always just seen him as a villain, but now I'm seriously questioning everything I thought I knew about him and his motivations.

I was genuinely surprised by that opening genjutsu swap, 'cause honestly, with the Sharingan, I can never tell what's actually happening and what's just some crazy illusion. It really made me think about how far Sasuke's come since his earlier fights; he's so much more calculated now, like he's learned from every mistake.

Sasuke going absolutely feral with that hatred for Itachi, stabbing through the chair like that, truly had me questioning how much more pain he could even hold. And Itachi just standing there, utterly unfazed, it honestly made me wonder if he truly cares about Sasuke at all, or if he's just playing a part in some larger, awful game.

Itachi's face during those Uchiha massacre flashbacks really got to me, 'cause he looked so torn, not at all like the cold villain Sasuke always painted. I mean, it almost makes me wonder if Sasuke’s memories were just too clouded by hatred to see his brother’s true pain back then.

I was seriously on the edge of my seat when Sasuke finally unleashed Kirin; it felt like he'd been holding onto that power for ages, and seeing him actually land it, man, that had to be pure relief for him after all the intense training and sacrifices he made to make.

When that lightning dragon erupted from Sasuke, I totally gasped; my mind immediately flashed back to him barely making a chidori against Gaara in the Chunin Exams, and I couldn't believe the sheer scale of his power now. It really makes me wonder if he even recognizes how much he's overshadowed his past self.

EPISODE CONTEXT

Episode 135 marks the true beginning of the 'Fated Battle Between Brothers' arc's central confrontation, following 'Banquet Invitation' where Sasuke's pursuit of Itachi reached its breaking point. This episode serves as the critical bridge between buildup and all-out conflict, establishing the psychological and emotional battlefield before the combat escalates. It leads directly into 'The Light & Dark of the Mangekyo Sharingan,' where the brothers' clash intensifies and the deeper truths of their shared past begin to surface.
