I was actually pretty floored by Itachi holding off on the Nine-Tails; it really shows me how much he *gets* the political fallout and chaos that would erupt in the Leaf Village if they touched Naruto too soon. Man, it makes you wonder just how many chess moves ahead he's always planning, doesn't it?
