I was genuinely surprised Kakashi even considered just detaining Itachi; like, come on, that's just asking for trouble, right? But man, seeing all the different Leaf squads closing in on the same target has me on the edge of my seat, it feels like this is gonna be huge. And honestly, Tobi just messing with Deidara during the Akatsuki meeting really cracked me up, those two are always hilarious together and it was a much-needed break from the tension.
