It’s a crazy first episode. Nanaka is smart, but is very mean to her friend Nenji. They have a big fight and she ends up falling down the stairs. When she wakes she thinks she's six. It's hilarious to see her act like a kid now.
Despite being 23 years old, Nanaka 6/17 impressed me with its care and craftsmanship. I won't judge it by 2026 standards. What stood out most was the sound design—the rain sounded so natural, and hearing birds outside the classroom while a girl played the piano inside created a beautiful, immersive atmosphere.
It was an interesting episode. The plot was the usual tragic event but it eventually shifted in a much cuter way. The OP was adorable and the music was upbeat. The animation was unexpectedly smooth and the comedic acts were satisfying. That heated confrontation where Nanaka and Nenji were standing in the rain was intense, but the rain made it gloomy.
