Episode Context

Coming directly off the series premiere that established Meimi's dual identity and her mission as Saint Tail, this episode wastes no time deepening the central dynamic the entire 43-episode run depends on. By sharpening Asuka Jr.'s role as an active pursuer rather than a passive presence, it locks the show's core tension firmly into place early. The groundwork laid here, the rivalry, the proximity, the near-misses, will quietly build the foundation for the romantic and dramatic payoffs that define the back half of the season.
