This episode started to tease about more complicated nature behind Nanaka's cold behavior and Sana's past memories about their relationship. Since the plot is anchored based on Sana's POV, it's clear that the romantic sparks is there a between these two main characters.
That slap was pretty damn crisp, ngl. That's what I liked about this episode, besides the bond Shuu and Shuri have. The stuff I can do without is unnecessary ecchi; like, the thing with the chopsticks was completely unnecessary. The preview for the next episode for the next episode already has me cringing.
Ep 2 helped bridge the gap between the characters' conflict. Still, it's not that noteworthy, but I guess they're focusing on the world-building first.
