Akira's out in the labyrinth doing his thing when he runs into someone who needs help. Nice mix of action and a softer character moment. Shows a different side of him early on.

Akira's powers, as shown in this episode, were too powerful. I hope future fight scenes will not be boring because of Akira's power. What an unexpected plot twist. I'm glad that Commander Saran told Akira what to do in that kind of situation. The story build-up is still fast, but the fight scene, backstory, and new character make up for it.

Episode Context

Coming off an exposition-heavy premiere that transported Akira and his classmates to a fantasy kingdom and hinted at its darker motivations, episode 2 narrows the lens to Akira's independent path and introduces a key alliance. This is foundational setup, early in a 12-episode run, it prioritizes relationship-building and character establishment that later episodes will lean on as conflicts escalate.
