This is a heavier episode, and the show does not try to make every sad moment cute or easy. Haru’s past adds real weight to her attachment issues, making the usual cozy tone feel more meaningful afterward. It is rough in places, but the emotional payoff is definitely there.
Haru’s flashback in this episode was honestly heartbreaking. Seeing her life as a stray and how she and her siblings had to survive gave us a much deeper understanding of her. I loved getting to see the cats who looked after them and taught them how to survive, and how Haru had to grow up so quickly.
