EPISODE REVIEWS

I watched this way back when I was in elementary school, I think. I don't remember much about it anymore, but I know I finished it. Anyway, the very first episode was already impressive it had great scenes and even started off with a fight scene right away.

I have heard of this anime before, it was supposedly a deconsruction/reimagining of a certain genre. And I would say, that was pretty intense from the get-go, now I see the appeal. They really took effort in trying to establish how the series would go from this premiere alone. The animation was impressive, but the fight scenes is where the money goes as well as the music. If the objective was to get the viewers hooked then it succeeded spectacularly. That being said, I am looking forward to seeing next episode. If they stay focused on the strengths of this series we're in for some fun times.

Pretty great for an anime released in 2004, the character designs look quite simple, and the animation is actually pretty good during certain scenes. The pacing is a little erratic, with it peaking suddenly and dropping throughout the episode. The episode ends on a note that leaves you a bit curious, though. This anime does feel quite nostalgic; I do remember I dropped it YEARS back, and it's time to find out why.
