More lore and more pain. The history of how things went wrong and It adds so much depth to the villain's motivation and the hero's failure. The animation for the flashbacks is consistent and atmospheric.

Seeing the flickering lights and the shadows in the flashback made the tragedy much terrifying. The transitation that they made with the sound of a child crying into the roar of blue flames was outstanding. Even the dialogue about "looking at me" was magnificent.

Everything finally comes to a head as Class 1-A confronts Deku. The episode hits hard emotionally, especially seeing how much his friends care about him. The mix of action and heartfelt dialogue makes it one of the most powerful, character-driven moments of the season.

Dabi’s backstory really shows why he became who he is. Growing up under crushing expectations takes a hidden toll, and the neglect he faced after trying to earn his dad’s approval deepens the darkness within him. A heavy, lore-packed episode.

While the Todoroki’s family drama keeps the dark tone of the season alive, lo and behold the power of family and friends is the solution to the current situation. I am not complaining if I get to see Endeavor cry as a result though, much deserved. Can’t wait for the next episode!
