EPISODE REVIEWS

A grand finale for this episode! It's a nice payoff after seeing Miyo go from being so scared and fragile to this determined and strong woman. Using her Usuba powers really showed that she isn't just a nobody; she is so much more. Such an elegant ending for a nice anime.

Must-watch! This episode delivers a satisfying, emotional finale, especially for Miyo’s journey. It feels like a meaningful payoff while keeping things elegant, and leaves you looking forward to next season.

Episode Context

Episode 11 cracked open the truth about Miyo's heritage and her mother's legacy, making this finale the natural emotional payoff for the entire season's arc of self-discovery. As the twelfth and final episode, 'Light in the Darkness' resolves the central conflicts around Miyo's identity and her bond with Kiyoka while closing the chapter on her struggle for self-acceptance. The episode also plants seeds for a continuation, suggesting the story has more ground to cover beyond this season's conclusion.
