Gojo is best boy and this episode shows his personality and talents that created heartwarming moments. This episode has ecchi scenes, and you can skip if needed as this doesn't affect the plot.

In this episode, Gojo’s talent just keeps growing, and it’s awesome to see that process unfold. On the other hand, Marin isn’t falling behind either. It looks like she has a few plans in mind to make Gojo fall for her.

The episode highlights inclusion, emphasising that creativity belongs to everyone, and small acts of support can make a big difference between Marin and Wakana's for cosplay costumes

I wasn't expecting what Shinju-chan wants that I have to say kudos to Gojou-san for discerning that so this episode really made me feel as heartwarming.

Marin and Juju's chemistry is cute like fangirl meeting her oshi. I feel the Shinju subplot is mid in comparison to both Marin and Juju

Marin’s excitement never feels fake. Even when things get awkward, her sincerity carries the episode. The pacing stays light but engaging.

Their coordination and teamwork on the costume and makeup are very detailed. The hair color, eye look, and even the dress need to match the character they’re portraying in cosplay. I also liked the trust Shinju shows in Gojo, wanting to participate in cosplay as well.

I just love this episode so much. All of them are so pretty (and handsome)! The charm of cosplay isn’t about how you look, but about the enjoyment of trying to be your oshi. I LOL’d when Gojo went into serious mode. I totally understand him—that’s not just a little bit, Shinju!

My Dress-Up Darling S1E9 looks great as always, with strong animation and charming character moments. Gojo’s work for Marin and Sajuna is engaging, but Shinju’s storyline feels rushed and a bit bland. The emotional payoff happens too quickly, making it enjoyable but not impactful

EPISODE CONTEXT

Sitting at the three-quarter mark of the season, Episode 9 serves as a culmination point for the cosplay preparation arc that has driven the last several episodes. The groundwork laid through Wakana's craftsmanship struggles and his growing partnership with Marin pays off here, while Sajuna's presence adds a fresh dynamic. With three episodes remaining, this installment pivots the season toward its final stretch, setting the stage for a group cosplay event and the deeper character developments that will carry the show to its conclusion.
