Such a strong opener. Gojo’s passion for hina dolls feels genuine, and Marin’s chaotic energy immediately shakes up his quiet world. Their first real interaction is awkward but hilarious. Instantly charming.

This rom-com is interesting to watch. The difference between the main characters is clear in this episode. It’s interesting and different to see a guy making hina dolls. Gojo has his own world and doesn’t talk much to his classmates.

The pilot episode shows a clear picture of why Gojo grew up the way he is. The choice of a high school setting is perfect since generally the character building of a person starts there. It makes the viewer excited and hopeful of a character and relationship development.

The episode perfectly sets up the relationship between the two leads.. A classic trope of popular girl meets shy boy and slowly breaks him out of his shell. It's a wholesome rom-com anime. Low stakes feel-good is what you're signing up for and it is what you're getting.

This anime is interesting and super engaging. The concept is great and aligns very closely to the viewers. How the characters take hobbies and likes very seriously is heartwarming. Their first (real) interaction is very funny and lovely. Totally recommended anime. Peak I'd say.
