It was the same when I was reading the manga, I thought I was watching the wrong anime at the start 😆. The most eye-catching detail in this episode was that some backgrounds are realistic, it looks like the characters are interacting in the real world which is very nice👌. The acceptance of gojo at the end means so much to him and the cliff hanger at the end was perfectly placed.

Gojo's reaction is sending me haha. Marin's energy is over the top too. It was a cute episode and i enjoy how they prepare the outfit. Overall, it's hype and pacing are peak

the sewing animation in this episode is SO satisfying. watching the fabric come together stitch by stitch? chef's kiss. the lighting in wakana's workshop feels warm and cozy. marin's energy is chaotic but the color palette keeps it grounded. perfect season opener. 🐰

The plot doesn’t move forward in this episode. It’s more of a reintroduction of both Gojo and Marin, this time with Marin cosplaying as a bunny girl. Nothing much happens here, although the scene with the store clerk is actually hilarious.

Great minds think alike. I totally agree with you, Marin! On the other hand, I totally agree with you too, Gojo, LOL! Kidding aside, I love how the story has progressed. The way they understood Gojo without looking down on him is really touching. Really an amazing start.

It really got to me when those guys in the karaoke room were actually curious about Gojo's skills instead of judging him and he looked so stunned by the positive attention

The ending where Nobara just blurted out that they look like a couple made the whole room go quiet and watching Gojo practically choke on his drink was priceless

The clerk at the craft store thinking Gojo was making that bunny suit for himself was the funniest thing and that reaction when Marin walked back in was hilarious

I seriously felt that flashback to Gojo being called creepy and it made the scene where Marin's friends actually praised his makeup skills feel so much better for him

Marin geeking out over that Kochikan anime while sitting on the floor was the most relatable thing ever and the way she mimics the poses is just too cute

I couldn't believe Gojo actually went through with wearing that giant pink bunny mascot suit to the party; it was hilarious to me, but I also genuinely felt for the guy watching him visibly suffer, even cocooned in all that plush.

Gojo getting so frustrated over the bunny suit silhouette was intense, but the way he went into full researcher mode at the craft store showed how much he cares about Marin's passion

You could tell Marin asking if Gojo is weak against high-leg suits was a total callout and his brain just completely stalled out in that moment

I was worried about how Gojo would handle being around Marin's friends but seeing them nerd out over his makeup skills was the best. It was such a contrast to that childhood memory of the girl being mean to him, and it felt like a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders. Seeing him get flustered when they asked if they were dating was the perfect ending

Gojo watching that bunny girl anime just because Marin was so hyped about it really made me grin; I mean, his dedication to her cosplay ideas is just next level. It's such a sweet little detail that shows how much he genuinely cares about what she's into, and that's something I always appreciate about him.

It was about time someone finally asked if they were dating, even if Gojo was stuck inside a giant pink bunny mascot suit when it happened

I couldn't stop laughing when Gojo saw Marin in the bunny outfit and he was totally losing his mind the whole time and seeing him so flustered over the high leg cut was hilarious

The old guy at the craft store thinking Gojo was making the suit for himself was the funniest part of the episode and his pure eyes really sold the misunderstanding

When that episode started with the fake anime intro, I genuinely did a double-take for a moment, thinking I'd put on the wrong show! Seriously though, it looked so surprisingly good that now I'm kinda bummed we can't actually watch the poor bunny girl mercenaries and their daily bean sprout struggles for real.

Nowa and the rest of the group are actually so nice for making Gojo feel included at the karaoke place. Seeing his childhood trauma literally fade away while they complimented his work was the highlight of the whole premiere and he really deserves this win

EPISODE CONTEXT

As episode 1 of 12, this premiere re-establishes the emotional foundation for everything Season 2 will build on — Wakana's craftsmanship, Marin's gravitational pull, and the tension between solitude and connection. It bridges the gap from Season 1's conclusion while hinting at the shift from Wakana's isolated world toward deeper collaborative and romantic territory. Early episodes will likely use this grounding to accelerate the relationship dynamics and cosplay projects that define the series.
