Episode Context

Sitting just past the midpoint at episode 17 of 26, this follows directly from Akeno Shiranui's introduction as a mermaid examiner in 'Minority Report,' now expanding her role by pitting her against Mawari in a comedic power struggle. The episode bridges the school-centric comedy of recent episodes toward the upcoming Kyoto class trip arc beginning with 'Gate of Flesh,' where Sun and Akeno face more personal stakes outside familiar territory.
