EPISODE REVIEWS

Episode Context

As the first of two episodes, this is the series' foundation, there is no prior episode to build from, making every character beat and tonal choice here load-bearing. Muramata and Kaji's dynamic is introduced from scratch, and the secrets hinted at in this episode exist entirely to be resolved in Episode 2. Watch this as setup, not payoff.
