This episode finally brings us their very first match after all that long training, and you can really feel the tension rising compared to the previous episodes. The game itself is quite engaging. We also get a brief glimpse into Minami's backstory and her close relationship with Yuuki. After back-to-back management focus, the actual baseball action is safely highlighted more this time.

It's not whether an idea succeeds, but it's whether the team is willing to try or not. Questioning old habits and embracing a new way of thinking is the theme of this episode, with some emotional moments sprinkled throughout.

Moshidora Episode 5 did a great job showing how much the team still has to learn. I enjoyed watching the players gain new experiences and challenge themselves. At the same time, the episode included some emotional moments that helped me become more attached to the characters. The balance between sports and personal stories felt very natural.
