QUICK TAKES
I may be a bit biased because I really like the crime and mystery genre, but this was already great. The first episode's storyline was really interesting and kept me watching until the end. Not only that, but the art style was really gorgeous! 🥰
Going in blind with this one was definitely the best choice. I had no idea what the storyline would be, and honestly, it already got me intrigued during the first half. This episode really showed a lot of William's character. It was a really good way to establish who he is.
Really, really loved this already! It was so intriguing. The crime and mystery elements were shown so well. And Louis? Hey 😚 Lmao. Anyway, this already had me hooked from the start.
I have to be upfront, that mystery isn't really my thing and I'm very particular on the mystery genre. This opening episode is okay. It somewhat establish what is expected from the series, but so much unanswered questions that we basically don't know anything about Moriarty except his fullname and that he's smart, no other characteristic yet. The pacing is okay, especially for a one-off episode. The animation is okay, standard Production I.G. I'm hoping for more in the next episode.
ngl ep 1 went way harder than i expected?? moriarty isn't just smart he's scary smart and the show wastes zero time letting you feel that. noble corruption and execution. animation's clean too. absolutely watch this, it sets the tone for everything.
EPISODE CONTEXT
William Moriarty's frightening intellect and anti-establishment mission are powerfully established, making this an essential series opener.
