SUCH a fun episode!! Loved our chaotic duo especially when they were off playing otome games😭 and the part where Nozaki searched the best route for each bachelorette in the game was actually so real, I cracked up so hard 😭✨ and then the second half was also just as good!

Even though Nozaki and Mikoshiba have totally different personalities, their duo dynamic just works so well. It’s just the two of them but they get super chaotic over the smallest thing 😂 Then Chiyo shows up and suddenly it’s a hilarious trio. The animation really brings out their expressions, making the comedy hit even harder.

It’s all about the humour, being quite flexible, and breaking away from clichés – I love that.

This episode is so funny for me, its unexpected and just pure comedy. Nozaki is really amazing with his expression. The storyline of this episode is perfect to make the viewers excited yet overwhelmed with laugh. It's not force but generic comedy that will just make me laugh.

This episode is an example that the real best girl is the best friend who’s been guiding you along the way. I love how this show doesn’t take itself too seriously, and was truly a peak comrom (because it prioritizes comedy than romance) back in the 2010s. 9/10

The classic Anime romance sim, in the spirit of Tokimeki Memorial, is hilariously showcased in this episode as Nozaki and Mikoshiba try their hands in playing one for research, only for them to fall in love with the male best friend character and them using the power of fanfic.

Nozaki and Mikorin take on a dating sim despite having zero romance experience, and immediately miss the point in the funniest way

EPISODE CONTEXT

Coming off Episode 3's exploration of gender-swapped expectations and the introduction of the 'Prince' dynamic, Episode 4 pivots to flesh out the male characters' hilariously skewed understanding of romance and social dynamics. Sitting at the one-third mark of the 12-episode run, this is the series locking in its full ensemble cast and comedic rhythm. It lays essential groundwork for the deepening character relationships and escalating misunderstandings that Episodes 5 and beyond will build on.
