Bro this movie is straight-up sensory overload but like… INTENTIONAL. The visuals are so loud it gaslights you at first, then suddenly the narrative locks in and you’re drowning in symbolism about identity, girlhood, and losing yourself. Asa/Kame broke me lowkey.
Slow but really immersive. The story leans more on tension than scares, and the palace setting feels heavy in a good way. Animation is super unique and eye-catching. Overall, watch if you enjoy deep, artsy stories; skip if you want something fast-paced.
