I really didn't expect there to be a plot twist in this final episode. The story was really designed to keep the audience guessing what would happen next. I think this is a great way to end an anime. This is the first time I've felt cheated by an anime ending. The horror feel is also really good, it made me nervous while watching it. Very cool!

Found footage is one of my all time favorite horror genres, so this was my favorite episode of the entire anime! A very wholesome ending to a very wholesome anime.

Episode Context

As the twelfth and final episode, this serves as the culmination of the Cinephoto Club's journey across the entire season, channeling everything they've built as a group into one collaborative creative project. It follows the laid-back summer vibes of Episode 11's shaved ice outing in Yamanashi, pivoting from relaxation into action as the club puts their bond to work. Rather than a cliffhanger or dramatic climax, the finale doubles down on the show's core identity, friendship, creativity, and comedy, delivering a satisfying capstone to the season.
