Synopsis
Head over heels for her cool upperclassman Makinohara, Satsuki Amamiya joins her high school's Photography Club, to the point where Makinohara becomes her primary photo subject. It's endearing and a little obsessive. But when Makinohara graduates and leaves Satsuki in charge, the club's basically just her and her friend An Kiriyama trying to figure out what they actually want to photograph now. Their solution? Merge with the Cinema Club, buy a 360-degree camera off an online auction, and start building DIY drones. The whole thing is set in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, so there's gorgeous scenery everywhere they point a lens. This is a 12-episode TV series from studio Soigne, adapted from a 4-koma manga by Afro, the same creator behind Laid-Back Camp. You can feel that DNA here. It's got that same gentle rhythm where the real appeal isn't plot twists but watching characters genuinely enjoy a hobby together, learning new techniques, and appreciating what's around them. The comedy leans into the everyday absurdities of running a tiny school club with more ambition than resources. If you liked Laid-Back Camp's cozy atmosphere or the club dynamics of K-On!, this hits a similar frequency. It also shares some spirit with Tamayura, another photography-themed slice of life, though Mono leans more into the tech side with its cameras and gadgets. It's a warm, low-stakes hang about creative people finding their eye.

Horornya dapet ke dalam tulang. Sangat buaaagusss. Sakurakoooo. Pengen jitak dan cubit. Bandel yaa.
Saya senang Cinephoto club kembali lagi.
Subplot kedua lumayan humoris.
Lumayan fun, tapi kurang kontekstual.
Shikishima juga lucu banget, yes go yes go aja. Animasinya lebih bagus lagi di episode ini. Namun pacenya masih terlalu nyantai, aku ga kuat. Sampe harus pake 1.5x speed hiks. Tapi opening sama ending songnya exciting kok
I really didn't expect there to be a plot twist in this final episode. The story was really designed to keep the audience guessing what would happen next. I think this is a great way to end an anime. This is the first time I've felt cheated by an anime ending. The horror feel is also really good, it made me nervous while watching it. Very cool!
This episode is enticing because it tells the story of a shaved ice adventure. Satsuki, An, and Sakurako tried various kinds of shaved ice for 2 consecutive days. This could be a fun idea to try with family or friends in real life. Especially if this idea can be immortalized in the form of a vlog, the experience will definitely be more memorable. This is the episode I enjoyed the most so far.
This is the final trip of the summer vacation for Satsuki, An, Sakurako, Haruno, and Kako. I felt as if I was joining them on their vacation. Actually, for those of you who like slow paced anime like this, you will find this episode enjoyable. But if you don't like it, you will yawn a lot because it feels boring.
I feel like this episode is dedicated to viewers who really love Japan and want to travel there. Any tourist destination featured here seems like it could be a good reference for a trip. I think this is a very clever tourism marketing technique. This episode really showcases a bit of true Japanese culture while presenting a lighthearted story.
Another enjoyable episode. Watching this episode makes me want to go out and take pictures too. Even though I can't make action videos riding a skateboard like An and Sakurako, at least I can immortalize my travel moments with photos and regular videos like vlogs. Watching anime like Mono is indeed full of inspiration.
Another fun episode. It was great to see the characters having fun on a mission, especially one involving food. I wanted to have as much fun as they did. However, there's still nothing photography-related in this episode. Maybe I was expecting too much from episode 1, which stated that this anime would have a photography theme.
The story in this episode is quite funny. It's very easy to understand because it relates to everyday life. I didn't expect Haruno's character to be so random. Her behavior can be hilarious, but it's understandable. Luckily, at least there's Kako who can balance out Haruno's character.
You can definitely tell this is the creator of Laid-Back camp. Different premise, but same easy going vibes and really fun characters.
