Episode Context

As Episode 1 of 13, this is pure foundation-laying, nothing precedes it, and everything follows from it. 'Welcome Home' establishes the central tension between the Mobile Shinsengumi and the Tsubame Group while introducing the core cast and their monster-policing mission, giving the rest of the season its dramatic and comedic scaffolding. Subsequent episodes will build directly on the character dynamics and world rules set in motion here.
