Great action scene! Tekkadan had to face the space mafia directly under the company they wanted to negotiate with. Mika is struggling with Barbatos because of its reactor issues, and Akihiro is taking on two enemies at once—just wow! The pacing is really good too!

This episode shifts to dealing with space mafia politics. Seeing these marginalized kids having to scrap and negotiate just to get a seat at the table with the established power structures is incredibly tense. It’s all about leverage.

Episode Context

Sitting just past the quarter mark of a 25-episode season, episode 7 pivots from Tekkadan's initial formation and early victories into the deeper challenge of forging alliances in hostile territory. The previous episode cemented the crew's resolve and direction; 'Whaling' immediately tests that resolve by introducing the Turbines as both obstacle and potential gateway to the Teiwaz organization. This encounter sets the foundation for the alliance-building and political maneuvering that will define much of the season's middle act.
