Kou finally experiences significant character development, both in his abilities as a Gundam pilot and in his relationship with Nina. Furthermore, despite her brief appearance, Kelly is a crucial character who transforms Kou's mentality as a soldier. What I regret is that Anaheim plays both sides of the war between the Federation and Zeon.

I feel like this was like a payoff to last episode's setup. There's a nice romantic thing here too, but it doesn't get in the way of the fight the episode's been building toward. A rough one by the end, honestly.
