Episode Context

As episode one of a tight six-episode OVA, this is pure foundation, character introductions, tonal establishment, and the critical contrast between civilian peace and distant warfare that the series will systematically dismantle. No prior episodes exist; everything starts here with Alfred's innocent perspective. It feeds directly into 'Reflections in a Brown Eye,' where the war begins closing the distance Alfred currently romanticizes.
