Toushuu High finally shows why they’re feared. Mita’s presence dominates the episode, while Otomi quietly reacting to the comparisons gives the story more emotional weight beyond just baseball competition.
character depth needed to flesh out the Tachibana family history and the ghost of Meisei’s past glory. Even if the training field drills felt a bit mid and the pacing dragged, the sibling chemistry between Touma and Souichirou is fire. It’s a bit of an info dump regarding the old school lineup, but lowkey necessary for the baseball plot.
This episode is the continuation of the practice game. I really like how they create a block in the anime, where we can see everyone's reaction to the game. That is rarely used now in earlier anime. This episode has a bit of tension in and out of the game. With a bit of backstory.
