EPISODE REVIEWS
This episode slows down nicely after the heavy moments before it. The new coach brings fresh energy, while Touma’s awkward encounter with Haruka adds the kind of casual comedy the series handles really naturally.
seeing Touma’s pitching stance finally get some real focus is everything. Even if the middle school flashbacks felt a bit mid and the pacing dragged in the dugout, the sibling dynamic between him and Souichirou is fire. It’s a total backstory info dump, but lowkey necessary to set up the summer tournament stakes. The Touch nostalgia is so real.
The first minute is a mixture of chaotic and funny. Nan's character is so opposite of what I'm expecting. Straight-up funny, especially what happened in the club locker. That scene broke me out laughing harder. Then, another scene happened that made me laugh even more.
