Mix is proving to be a whole slow burn and I am honestly here for it. Getting the family lore and character depth needed to flesh out Touma and Souichirou’s dynamic is perfect. Even if the school practice felt a bit mid and the pacing dragged in the middle, the nostalgia for Meisei is fire.
A soft start to this episode, and it's also funny. This episode creates great world-building, allowing us to understand the connections between the characters. The soundtrack is also good. The story pacing is slow, but it's right for this kind of anime.
This episode balances family dynamics and baseball frustration really well. The step-brother relationship feels natural, while the unfair treatment on the team quietly builds tension without becoming overly dramatic.
