EPISODE REVIEWS
Meisei Story’s premiere is a whole slow burn and I am here for it. We finally get the nostalgic lore and character depth needed to flesh out this legendary baseball world, and the Tachibana brothers have great chemistry. Even if the junior high games felt a bit mid and the pacing dragged, the introduction of the new generation is fire
The slow start of the first episode is great for introducing the anime. The character creation is an old-style one, which is fine. I really like that they chose to use soft colors in this anime. The first episode is nice to introduce the characters.
A calm but emotional opening that instantly captures the nostalgic baseball atmosphere. Touma, Souichirou, and Otomi already have great chemistry, and the shadow of Meisei’s legendary past hangs over every scene beautifully.
