It is a season finale with a strong emotional touch, centred on the guilt and anguish Genji feels over his sins, and the protagonist’s deep reflection and search for inner peace. He finds the love he had been looking for in his life.
After the last few episodes were filled with a suffocating political atmosphere and a dark downfall, Episode 11 arrives like a deeply refreshing emotional oasis. The focus on introducing the young Murasaki brings back the poetic beauty and aesthetic gentleness that had briefly been lost.
