Midori Days Arc Review

The opening wastes zero time diving into chaos. Seiji’s reputation as a feared delinquent clashes hilariously with his desperation for love, and the sudden appearance of Midori as his right hand is as absurd as it is oddly wholesome. What makes this episode work isn’t just the shock factor, it’s the emotional hook. Midori isn’t random; she’s loved him quietly for years. That twist adds sincerity to an otherwise ridiculous premise. The comedy lands well, but there’s already a subtle loneliness in both characters that hints this won’t just be a gag anime.
