Honestly I wasn't expecting to see something like what I saw in this episode, but it helped for both of them to deepen the relationship they have even if it was only a dream of Midori's. It also makes us realize, or at least me, that Midori has put her life aside for quite a few days to be with Seiji, so what will happen to her? It can't be that she only lives to be with Seiji, right?

For viewers who love Midori no Hibi for its wild slapstick comedy and hilarious misunderstandings, Episode 8 might feel a bit too heavy and emotionally draining. This episode shifts quite far into romantic drama, filled with internal anxiety and character angst, causing its cheerful atmosphere to drop drastically.

Episode Context

A standout comedic detour, 'Right-hand Seiji' leans hard into the absurdist premise that defines this series. A dream-sequence role reversal puts Seiji and Midori in each other's shoes, figuratively speaking, inviting the audience to laugh while quietly asking a more sincere question: do these two actually understand each other? The tone is breezy and playful, prioritizing humor and character warmth over plot momentum. Pacing moves quickly, stringing together light gags and character interactions that reward viewers who've been following the duo's dynamic. Supporting cast appearances keep the energy lively. It's not a pivotal episode, but it's a charming one, the kind that expands how you see the leads without demanding anything heavy from you in return.
