The episode focuses on strategy, precision driving, and how racers react under pressure during the difficult downhill sections. Kanata’s performance slowly changes how others view both him and his seemingly underpowered car.
The episode was kinda predictable, but it was still exciting. I love how the character style stays loyal to its predecessor (Initial D), and the eurobeat opening theme reminds me of Over Drive by M.O.V.E.
