Episode Context

Sitting at episode 22 of 52, this installment arrives just past the season's midpoint transition, following a beauty contest episode that played with mermaid identity themes in a lighter context. 'Glamorous Girl' escalates the stakes by introducing Taro Mitsuki as a recurring character whose personal history appears tied to the mermaid world, setting the stage for deeper backstory revelations and romantic complications in upcoming episodes. It marks a pivot from episodic charm toward more serialized character threads that will shape the second half of the series.
