Episode Context

Sitting at episode 21 of 52, this installment arrives near the midpoint of the first season, following the mystery-tinged 'A Love Letter From the Sea' and pivoting toward personal relationships and lighter fare. It serves as a character-building bridge, deepening connections around Kaito's world before 'Glamorous Girl' reintroduces Taro Mitsuki and pushes the overarching storyline forward. The introduction of Makoto quietly reinforces the mermaid mythology from a fresh, innocent angle, keeping core themes alive even in a more relaxed outing.
