Episode Context

As the first of only three episodes, this installment carries the full weight of series setup, introducing Mega Man, the Kobayashi family, and the central fish-out-of-water premise in one go. Nothing precedes it, so the episode works entirely as a foundation. It feeds directly into the remaining two episodes, priming the ongoing conflict with Dr. Wily and the continued cultural exploration that defines the short series.
