I am not a big fan of the manigance they prepared for Shimiko to day out loud about her family background. It feels a little crossing the line, may have a better way to help her opening up in my sense.

Episode Context

This episode arrives one step after 'Cherry Blossom,' which established Shimako and Noriko's nascent friendship, and now stress-tests that connection by pushing Shimako toward a personal reckoning. Sitting at episode 8 of 13, it marks a tonal shift into the season's more emotionally complex second half. It directly sets the stage for 'Tears of the Rosary,' where the consequences of what unfolds here ripple outward into Shimako's relationships and her standing within the Yamayuri Council.
