Aunque sacrifica parte del dinamismo al mantener a María cautiva durante gran parte del episodio, lo compensa con un excelente manejo de la tensión y un antagonista muy sólido. Bernard se consolida como una amenaza de primer nivel, mientras María atraviesa uno de sus momentos más difíciles.
The pressure just keeps piling on and it had me wondering how Maria was even going to get out of this mess. I also love that the supporting cast finally gets to shine instead of existing just to cheer for the main character. The stakes feel very real here.
Episode 9 deepens storyline development as church persecution escalates and Maria faces capture. Expressive animation accentuates emotional tension, complemented by a haunting score. Maria's character development reaches a poignant high as she sacrifices herself, while brief comedy lightens the heavy atmosphere.
