I was quite surprised that this movie has very deep religious and spiritual elements. Actually, if the audience has sufficient religious and spiritual knowledge beforehand, then they will definitely understand the core story and the premise that this movie wants to convey. What I like about this movie is, it is able to build the atmosphere and emotions of the audience slowly. This movie will not let the audience get lost in boredom for long. The quality of the animation is also quite detailed so that the audience feels amazed and terrified at the same time.
This type of cinematic anime doesn't usually appeal to me, but the color palette and animation really make the plot highlight that underworld, dangerous vibe. Plus, the sheer bravery of the new Rune Balot gives her some interesting character growth.
It's a good science fiction movie without much action or standout background music, but with plenty of strategy and creatively designed characters.
