Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!

Oh, someone finally addressed the uniform having four ribbons. Chill episode with a vague but good ending. We remembered the "oh btw I need a fake boyfriend" thing that Anna mentioned some episodes ago. So it's date planning time. Since the park actually exists, one could say that this is an insanely effective way to promote it.

Now we properly finish Komari's arc. Given the type of character that she is, it was obvious that she would have this type of struggle. And it's relatable, honestly. It's nice that we addressed also what will happen to the club going onwards, since graduation and all that. The episode was really really emotional (maybe because I like both Komari and characters like her) in a way that doesn't involve romance, which is good for people who don't enjoy the genre.

The school festival arc comes to an end., and so does Komari's small time in the spotlight (for now). It's nice that everything ended well, both their festival exhibition and the closure that Komari got. The other exhibitions were cool too and it's nice to see that Chihaya admires Komari a bit after seeing what she prepared for the exhibition.

Slow but comfortable school festival prep episode that shows more about Komari and about how gente and dedicated she is. The episode pretty much also shows the importance of the friends that we made along the way when everyone gets together to help Nukumizu.

Mandatory festival preparation episode. More relaxed episode (compared with the previous three) that reminds us that yeah, the third years are leaving soon. Komari gets more time during the episode, which is nice. She was pretty much totally absent from the previous arc so now it's her turn to shine. I also liked that Nukumizu knows Komari well enough to know which faucet she would be at.

We finally finish with this small Lemon arc. I'm a big fan of emotional moments without bgm so it was nice to see one here. Going more in-depth with those two and giving them a proper and friendly closure was a good idea. It was also nice to see that Anna will always be supportive of her friends, even if it's not the "morally" right option.

A second rejection has hit Lemon. It's nice to see a direct follow-up from the previous episode, keep this small continuous episode plot going. Ayano will never beat the dense allegations (just like me fr). The episode takes a more emotional turn because well, rejection, but it shows that the cast is a proper friend group who can support each other during situations like this.

Oh hey a shining forehead. It's nice to see our mandatory summer vacation episode being half comedy and half plot. We follow up on Anna and Nukumizu being properly friends with her just showing up to his house, twice. I loved how they used and mentioned the somen during the whole episode. One would think that it would be just a throwaway joke but it was referenced through the club room being filled with boxes and then being mentioned again regarding Anna's diet.

Cute and relaxed episode that deals with the aftermath of what happened during last episode and also some of that school drama that we all need. It's nice to see that despite what happened, Komari and Koto still get along (contrary to what we've seen with other couples)

Oh god the student council has a FREAK This is our compulsory beach episode right? Very good episode focused more about the literature club. Epic Komari moments, I really like characters like her so it's really good to see her more in the spotlight. Right, the lit club president is also a freak.

Oh god the nurse is a FREAK. Jokes aside, good episode that focuses more on Lemon. An shows a bit more of the literature club. Despite Komari being catalogued as the "homewrecker" by Anna, she doesn't seem the type of person to be one.

Solid first episode that makes a good work at introducing the cast and actually explains part of the anime name. Nukumizu seems like an interesting mc since he could pretty much pass as an npc in someone else's story.

Cute ending. I feel like this episode is deserved after the last epiosde. I really like that we get a refreshing outing with our quartet. Despite the lack of romance the whole show between Nukumizu and the girls, I feel really satisfied as we get to explore each and every character on their own. And this last episode felt like a real outing between friends, which is really sweet. All and all, a great ending for this show.

I don't usually get emotional with anime, I think the last time I felt like this was when I watched Maquia, but this definitely got my eyes teared up. What Chika felt and went through felt real because how relatable it is. And it's understandable why Nukumizu acted the way he did. I really like how this episode was written, especially how Chika is, both the spoken and unspoken. An emotional episode, props to the writer.

The day of the school festival is here! We get to see how the literature club was doing, and gets to see what the others are doing for this festival as well. But I think the cherry on top was that ending, where we get to see Nukumizu talked to Koto and Chika. I really like the character exploration of this series. And again, that ending really did shows how strong Chika really is. I wonder what will be getting into this next two and last episodes?

This episode, as Nukumizu had said, really shows how strong Chika is. I really like despite what happened, and how much she's feeling inside, she gets thing done, which deserves an applause in and of itself. And props to Anna for coming in clutch with the support for the preparation too. The vibe, it reminds me of my school festival as well. This episode feels wholesome and heartwarming, in my opinion.

We moved our focus from Lemon to a new chapter for our character where the bukasai is held. And now it's up to Chika and Nukumizu (And Lemon and Anna too), to uphold the literature club. I really like how they written Chika here, as I said before, the writer really knows how to make the character feels human, with flaws and all. The interaction between Chika and Nukumizu feels like how real friendship would be, and it's really sweet. I can't wait for what they're cooking in the next episode!

Firstly, props to the writer for this closure. I really like how the conducted how Lemon's story went. I already had high expectation after seeing Chika's story, but this definitely made me applause. The careful writing of Lemon's feeling and also how both Chihaya and Mitsuki react, it feels real. And the fact they didn't break the comedy to cover for the drama was a great choice too. Overall a really great episode!

We continued after the last episode and went to what Mitsuki was planning for Nukumizu. As the group went on an outing, we get the reveal that I forgot hadn't been revealed before. This almost felt similar to that reveal in AOT, which left my jaw drop. But either way, I like how the latter episode, we slowly make our way to hopefully to a closure. I always like how the literature club seemed like a group of friends hanging out, and it's very true here. Overall a bitter, but also sweet episode.

I genuinely thought Anna had accepted her feelings, oh that was a great swerve from the writer, with us ending at a cafe again lol. And that latter half, with the inter mission was so fun! Is it bad that I felt for Lemon (From the prior episodes) and Chihaya both? I do hope the three of them will find a common ground after this episode! I really like Lemon, don't want her to be sad.
