I can feel Goro's distress and this episode really hit the rock bottom of his effort. The tone was totally unmotivated and depressing in the first half. Felt that the flashbacks repeating before Goro's eyes were nostalgic and gloomy. The eyecatcher was the best, though! The familiar faces of the characters' inspired by Goro was refreshing to see again! The visuals with Goro and his young self were cinematically beautiful! And what a way to end this season with that ED!
The finale is a flawless masterclass. Goro's recovery was properly handled by the pacing as the old gang was reunited for a casual game. The hopeful tone could not be any better as his passion for the sport was beautifully restored. The ending is incredibly satisfying.
A superb ending to the last episode. Gorou's conflict was resolved in a good way and I like how this episode played out as well. Hopefully there is a next season since I want to see more of Gorou!
