The pacing was slow, with the char development focused on Tendo. The tone was a mix of conflicted emotions; hence, it was rather a relatable struggle, especially for athletes. I believe that the animation in this ep was top-notch! The art style drastically improved, and the visuals somehow were finer than ever. Even the animation was totally peak compared to the past seasons. That was a smart move by Toshi!
This episode provided some intense confrontation regarding team responsibility and hidden injuries. The tight pacing properly leads to a fiery ideological clash. The incredible high emotional tone drives solid character development that challenges Goro's stubborn perception.
To be honest, I kinda hated Tendou at first, but damn, I didn't expect to get this emotional over such a minor character. I really loved the story in this episode! Tendou is a real man!
