What a peak starter! The episode was a banger and where the plot is going looks promising so far. The tone was comfortable the moment the setting took place back in the hometown. It was refreshing to see the remarkable characters and the anticipation of seeing Goro. I just don't like the rushed romance and the shipping, though.
This premiere is an absolute hype. The pacing runs like an athlete, completely shifting the tone from American minor league days to an absolute global stage. The animation did a great job with the throwing motion. It contains some mature character development regarding Goro's motivations.
Man this episode at first showed me how matured Gorou is but then my expectation plummeted towards the end of the episode. To see how he still sometimes act immature towards someone makes me sad of how immature he can be sometimes. Hopefully this will be addressed in the next episode.
