The tension was high in this episode. Goro works hard on his own growth, like he always does. The frustration was piling up as he thought of being left behind by one of his rivals. Toshiya's backstory is definitely somber and the past's color palette has that gloomy tone. Another slow-paced episode as the characters were finding their own convictions.

this episode delivers a more emotional and reflective atmosphere as deeper character layers are explored. Pacing feels steady and meaningful, animation supports the drama well and the music adds heartfelt weight. Expect personal struggles, emotional insight and stronger character development

Goro is still the same Goro. While I don’t like how Goro worded his message, it makes total sense. On another note, Shimizu is lowkey the MVP of this episode. I love how her words managed to help Goro clear his doubts.
