Another peak Misaki and Usui dynamic. The guy keeps losing composure the more honest Misaki becomes. The way Misaki show her love and respect for the cafe, her sincerity and care for Usui is such a treat for this episode. Usui, especially, is so dedicated to Misaki's support that to have her looking after his well-being from someone who is mostly alone says a lot about how much he relies on her presence.

Episode Context

Sitting at episode 19 of 26, this installment deepens the footman audition storyline that began in the previous episode, using the competition format to accelerate Misaki and Usui's relationship development during the series' back half. It builds directly on their earlier advancement in the auditions while laying groundwork for the emotional payoffs the final stretch of the season will need to deliver. The series is clearly using this arc as a catalyst to push both characters past their comfort zones before the endgame.
