The nightmare sequence here is a good touch and does some decent work on Takeshi's character. The life or death situation that follows is okay but the pacing around it was bad. This ep was a mix of good character moments under a messy flow.

The characters actually have to work for their power scaling this gives the fight a lot more weight. The animation style during the test sequence looked great and kept things super engaging. Good episode.

Episode 7 is a masterclass in character-driven fantasy. It demonstrates that magical battles don't always require explosions; sometimes, the most powerful conflicts occur within. This theme will be central as the season moves toward its climax.
