And the show finally did something that it tried to avoid doing in the past episodes. The worst part is that it came after a major development on that character, which is really heartbreaking in a lot of ways. Stakes are at an all time high right now, the real fight begins.

Ini genrenya tragedi ga siii, karena sedih bangettt di episode ini. Nangis banget liatnya, ga tega. Emosional naik turun dan nyampe ke penonton. Pertarungannya, emosinya, plot twistnya, tragedinya, semuanya bagus dan seruu.

...I hate how good this episode is, even a classic overused trope would shine bright if presented correctly, and Macross Frontier did it exactly like that. Pacing, animation and emotional depth of the plot can be clearly felt here, overall beautiful episode. 9.5/10, Don't cry.
